In 2018, Seth Godin convinced me to start writing a weekly blog.

Well, he wants everyone to write a daily blog. But since I’m not a lunatic, we compromised.

Since then this blog has been the very best decision I ever made, personally and professionally. It forces me to notice things, to learn to ‘see’ the world through the lens of my content area – human connection.

And then, to publish those thoughts.

For nearly 5 years I’ve made at least one assertion, judgment, or prediction about human connection every week. And I’ve made them public.

But this year, things are going to change.

Just Say the Thing™

Over the past 3 years I’ve been quietly (and then less quietly) building a coaching and consulting firm dedicated to the business side of human connection.

Clarity Up, LLC is now in full swing, working with dozens of mission-driven solopreneurs and businesses each year to clarify their message.

We specialize in a new methodology called ‘core messaging’.

Core Messaging is the simplest articulation of the fundamental principles that connect how you do what you do with what your audience truly cares about.

We have 3 core services:

1. 1. Messaging: Connect with customers and clients on external marketing and sales by learning to invite your audience into a compelling story, using our Core Messaging methodology. 

   2. TEDx Coaching: Book, write, and deliver the TEDx talk of your dreams and leverage it to skyrocket your mission, using our Conquer the Red Dot™ system.

   3. Connected Cultures: Build a connected culture online and on-site by getting your team aligned, in order to avoid costly miscommunication mistakes, like I’ve always done as a human connection specialist.

Basically, we help you talk less, say more, and connect with anyone.

Our team is amazing.

Currently it’s Shaque, our full-time executive assistant and project manager, Liwy, our full-time graphic designer and website editor, and Pixie, our part-time video editor.

We also have Lindsay Rae, the only Conquer the Red Dot™ Master Coach who serves clients in our TEDx programs. And we’re expanding with more CTRD coaches this year.

I’m wearing a different hat than I used to as a solopreneur, now running a proper company.

Which is all to say, I only have so many hours each week to write and produce content, and that time is now split writing about 3 different core topics.

Okay, so what?

I will continue writing this blog on human connection, but will shift to bi-weekly (every other week).

And on opposite weeks I’ll be writing blogs and articles for Clarity Up. Those articles will range in topic from marketing and sales to professional speaking, to the world of TEDx.

Lindsay Rae and I will also be launching a new podcast entitled Beyond the Red Dot, all about TEDx speakers, the talks they gave, what’s changed for them since, and how you can do it too.

So many great things are coming.
