Go make a dent in the universe

We teach experts & leaders to clarify their core message, book the talk of their dreams at TED-style conferences, and make a dent in the universe.

Catalyst for:

Entrepreneurs & Founders

Speakers & Executives

Professors & Academics

Thought Leaders & Visionaries

Experts & leaders dream of delivering the talk of their life on the Red Dot.

But it’s really, really hard.

Have you ever…

Felt overwhelmed by a speaker application, unable to complete or even start it?

Had an application rejected, but don’t know why or how to fix it?

Been accepted to speak at a conference, but feel lost trying to cut down your stories and organize your information?

It’s enough to shake anyone’s confidence.

The truth is this:

The best ideas no longer win.

The clearest ideas win.

People with less interesting ideas than you are getting the opportunity to change the world, but only because they’re able to explain their idea more clearly!

We clarify your idea.

You go make a dent in the universe.

TAKE THE SCORECARD

Are you ready to step on the Red Dot?

Take the Road to the Red Dot™ scorecard and discover how likely your Big Idea is to be selected by a TED-style conference organizer.

After completing the assessment, you’ll receive an overall score for Red Dot Readiness - how likely we believe a speaker selection committee will accept your Big Idea - and individual scores for each section, accompanied by an insightful evaluation.

This feedback is tailored to guide you in refining your application before hitting 'send.'

Here’s the plan:

  • 1. Explore on a Call

Meet with a CTRD Certified Coach on a 20-min discovery call. Explain your idea, goal, or vision. Get a custom plan to bring it to life.

  • 2. Clarify with Your Coach

Build the strongest, most persuasive version of your idea. Learn to speak like you, but better. Develop communication focus and precision.

  • 3. Make a Dent in the Universe

Book and deliver your talk. Nail the pitch. Secure the position. Increase sales. Connect with your ideal audience. Change the world!

“Not only did he work with Jane on her talk to ensure she was beyond prepared, Brian actually was one of the reasons Jane's talk was selected. He helped pitch her talk to our team and was relentless (in a good way), with his follow up. He advocated sincerely for her and shared his heartfelt reasoning as to why he felt her idea worth spreading was indeed a talk for the TEDx stage.

Brian also has a competitive advantage because not all speaker coaches have experience as a TEDx speaker coach, and Brian has coached many - and a TED Talk is very different and nuanced compared to other speaking opportunities.

Hi, I’m Brian Miller

Founder, Conquer the Red Dot®

I’m an international keynote speaker on human connection and a core messaging consultant.

My talk “How to Magically Connect with Anyone” went viral in 2015 with 3.6 million views.

But first, I was a magician.

See that fedora-wearing goofball in a suit?

That’s me, just hours before the talk that changed my life.

Before I became an international speaker, I was a struggling magician putting my fiancé through grad school while trying to cover all our bills.

It was really stressful.

I dreamed of playing on a bigger stage, and being trusted for my ideas.

Then I got invited to TEDxManchesterHighSchool. It forced me to clarify my Big Idea. Suddenly I could communicate with confidence. People previously inaccessible were happy to talk.

And my mission spread when the talk went viral.

I went from doing card tricks at backyard BBQs to being one of the most sought-after voices in my content area in the world.

  • Highly paid speaking requests poured in

  • Published a book that Seth Godin featured on his blog

  • Launched a podcast interviewing my heroes

  • Freedom to choose my projects

  • Spend more time with family

  • Became respected and trusted for my ideas

Since then I’ve helped dozens of leaders, executives, coaches, consultants, 9-5ers, advocates, and activists learn to speak with clarity and precision, book and deliver the talk of their dreams, and move audiences to action.

But I’m just 1 person, and my time is limited. So I founded Conquer the Red Dot® in order to provide a full suite of speaker training services for folks at any stage of their speaking journey.

Clarity is no longer a luxury. It’s a life raft.

Harvard accepts 5% of all applicants.

Conferences often accept less than 1%.

In a world where organizers see 300 applications per year, and over 30,000 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every hour…

Can you state what you do, who it’s for, and why it matters in the span of a tweet?

If not, you’re going to drown.

Right along with your Big Idea.

The Real Problem Most Speakers Face

Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY wants to give a talk on the Red Dot.

But almost nobody makes it to the stage.

And of those who do, very few make the impact they hoped for.

Why?

Because they are too wrapped up in how amazing, brilliant, and innovative their idea is…

Rather than how clear, understandable, and relevant it is.

If you want to step on big stages and deliver a talk that actually moves people to action,

Stop being clever and start being clear.
