The Absence of Unspoken Understanding

December 28, 2021
2020 was hard.
But in many ways, 2021 was harder.
At the beginning of the pandemic everyone banded together. We cried and complained, we disagreed…
But we understood.
This year, everything fractured.
Half the world wanted to go back to the way things were.
The other half had embraced a new way of life.
Without the unspoken understanding of 2020, this year was all about effort and endurance.
How do you meet people where they’re at when everyone is somewhere else?
Patience.
Kindness.
And forgiveness.
Thank you for your courage and compassion this year.
Here’s to 2022.
